Finding Other Controllers

If you live in an apartment, condominium or other place where neighbors’ electrical wiring is close by, you may find that your X-10 lights and appliances are operating at unexpected times.

To find other X-10 controllers:

  1. Select Find Controllers from Thinking Home’s Controllers menu.
  2. Press the Find button.
  3. The replies should arrive within 5 seconds and will be shown in the list.

If someone else is using the same house code that you’ve been using, it might be a good idea to change to a different house code to avoid unintended operation of your lamps and appliances.
